Back TWO School

Hello, we meet again!
16 weeks of hard knocks. school, work, and no play! UGH! I am well prepared this semester since I have taken so many classes before, I am not as nervous going into my last and final semester! -- Wait, did I just say final semester! HOLY COW! I feel like it has taken me all my life to get here, and it's approaching quicker than I know. I am blessed beyond measure to be able to complete my degree, and have an amazing, supporting, husband along the way. I couldn't have did it without him, seriously!

I have realized I shouldn't have waited so long, but I also realized that sometimes you have to get there to understand. I know I should have taken school more seriously when i was 18, but I was more concerned about the parties and boys. Needless to say it has brought me here, at 25 completing my degree. But I am very proud of myself, and the potential I will now have!

Christian graduates soon! Well soon as in December, but I swear it will come before i can blink!

Our friends are starting to leave, and some are finding out their next destiny, but we are grateful for their friendship and know we will see them down the road!

My life right now is a dazed mess, with school and 30 hours of work. But somehow I manage a full load of everything! I guess I just know extra is always extra in the end!

5 Things to Indulge In while in School:
 1) Cat naps
2) A good book, so all those textbooks don't seem to crappy
3) Movie night - I suggest a comedy so you can laugh and relive stress (hangover, borat, wedding crashers)
4) Chai Tea
5) A snuggle buddy (Cat, dog, bear, whatever you got!)

All Work No Play

Well, I officially am a work-a-holic! I got a job at Dillards, and am a full time student. Lets pray to Jesus that I can survive these next 4 months. Christian just had his dollar ride in the T-1 , So he is off to his busy days now. He wakes up at 4:00am and goes to bed at 8:30-9pm. Well, I get off work at 9 pm! So this will be a huge test in our marriage. But i know we can manage. And it's not forever, plus extra cash is always nice!!! (Lets be honest). I am almost done with my 3 Summer classes, they are okay so far. I didn't realize just how fast we learn everything, it's kind of ridiculous if you ask me. But I am honestly so close, I can't quit now. I just found out I am going to Colorado August 24th-27th. I am really excited to be back home for a few days! Well I think that is all the news in my life so far!

UPDATE: So I am officially free from Summer School. I got two A's and 1 B. Which I am so proud of myself, I really over-worked my brain, and I will never take 3 summer courses at once again! So much work, but it did pay off. Now it's just work until Aug. 20th. Christian loves the T-1's and is doing well. So hopefully we get the heck outta this place! It has grown on me, but I am ready for something new. However, I know that the final decision is not up to me. Otherwise, I would have been outta here quicker! November 30th cannot come sooner! It has also be so RIDICULOUSLY HOT! 110-114 degrees everyday, this Colorado native cannot take the heat!!! YOWZA!

This is what i feel like on a day to day basis..

Until next time,
AD

Chariots of Fire

OOH MY.. well back home in Colorado there has been a huge fire. (Waldo Canyon Fire), and it has hit over 350 homes, and damaged so much. The mountains have always been something i have taken for granted, but now I know that they are truly a gift from GOD. It has shaken the whole state, and I am forever touched by the firefighters who have risked everything to contain this massive disaster. My heart is forever broken, but I know in time Colorado will grow. It has been extremely touching though to see the community come together and donate their time, money and heart in relieving the fire victims. I wish I could have come home to help, but I understand that their are a lot of people helping already. It is a very proud moment to be from Colorado, knowing that when the times get tough, the tough get going. So thank you to everyone who has helped thus far. I actually am not much of a religious person, so to speak, but I have prayed a lot lately, for people, family, homes, lives...all at risk of destruction. It is very sad, and I know through prayer God really did help.

However, on a happier note:
Oh Friday nights, how you come and go so quickly.
It's almost the fourth of July, and I feel like I have no plans. (considering I am in Enid). Kind of bittersweet moment when you use to hang out with family under the stars and watch fireworks. Ohh, growing up is the pits! Tonight I am seeing Magic Mike with some ladies! Definitely going to be a fantastic movie filled with men half naked dancing... did I mention Channing Tatum.. OH BOY!!! I am like a giddy school girl in every movie he's in.

Saturday I am going to the City, to do some much needed shopping! And i get to go with some other wives! YAHOO! I am feeling a little weird, and let down lately, so i will leave you with a song..
JASON MIRAZ
*I won't give up*
When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
There's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find

'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/j/jason_mraz/i_wont_give_up.html ]
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use the tools and gifts we got Yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end you're still my friend, at least we did intend for us to work
We didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not
And who I am

So easy is our life, what's mine is yours and yours mine. Hardly do we ever fight, we'd rather be kind

Night, Night :-)

Sizzlin' Summer

Here comes another hot one folks! It's already reaching over 100 degrees, and no signs of getting cooler! Well, it is nice tanning weather, but other than that, its a drag! I will let you know how i do in them once i am confident i will pass! :-) We have enjoyed snow-cones, and pool parties. Also I have indulged in some much needed girl time! I Look forward to every Monday because it is the Bachelorette, and we girls get together and gossip, and try to figure out what EMILY is thinking.. don't judge.....and have delightful, bad for you treats! Thanks Courtney!! Other than that, nothing too crazy here in good ole' ENID AMERICA! Christian is still in academics for a few more weeks...

1 Year Anniversary To Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX

Holy Moley, how the time flew by! I cant believe we made it our first year of marriage!
Woooohoooo! First year as a wife, feels great!
It has been the wildest yet best ride EVER! I couldn't imagine life without Christian, and I love him more and more everyday. This first year of marriage to me means that we made it through tears, laughter, his crazy sleeping habits ( as well as mine) and getting adjusted to military life, and what is up ahead! I know this journey gets harder, and more stress will be had, but we did beat the odds, and that feels great! I know i will have to work just as hard in our marriage for the years to come since deployments will be in our future, but i am excited for the times that we have without distractions! ( and have i mentioned i cannot wait for a new change of scenery) :-) Christian is now T-6 complete and will Track select in just a few days! 6 more months of this crazy thing called Pilot Training, and i am very humbled to say, Enid, will be missed..... just a wee-little bit! I have met some wonderful people, and i am such a baby at saying goodbye!
We spent our wonderful 1st year anniversary in Dallas/ Fort Worth Tx, with some awesome friends!! And we ate our booties off, since we don't get this luxury in Enid! We also watched our friend Steve get married, to his beautiful wife Jana! ( I am kinda excited for the pictures of me dancing! haha) :-)
1 year down!
beautiful girls!

Welcome to COLORFUL Colorado

I cannot tell you how excited i was to be home!
I love being around my family, and it is so nice to drive five minutes away to Target, Olive Garden, and Bed Bath and Beyond.
Yes i have boughten quite a few things already, but i do not get this in ENID! ( sorry Christian)  I have spent the past several days with my BFF Jordan Mcmahon! Which has been so fun. It's crazy to know that true friendship exists! We can go 6 months without seeing eachother and in one minute everything seems to be right back where it is. My grandparents are doing fantastic, and my bro and his girlfriend are doing wonderful. My cousins are getting SO BIG!!! Time sure flies by, I cannot believe they are 7 & 9. I am  in shock at how beautiful my family is becoming each day. Here are some fun pics from my trip! Enjoy, Stay Safe, and always Love!
COUSIN TIME

YUMMMMMY!

Best Pizza ever at Fargos, Bishops Castle, And Garden of the Gods <3

I have had the best time in Colorado! See ya soon! :-)

On another note: When I return to the all wonderful Enid, OK, we will be headed off to Dallas for a friends wedding, than shortly around the corner it will be Christian's track select! He wants T-1s so the suspense for us is very low. Which is good, becuase i don't think i could handle that. School will be starting up again for me June 18th, which is good so i just dont sit around the house!

Our lovely friends Brigid and Matt will be taking off to Florida for their next adventure in the Air Force! Good luck to you, and you will be dearly missed! But i know Florida will be your cup of tea!
Other than that;
Nothing too crazy planned for the summer since Christian will be back at Pilot training in just a short few weeks!

Feliz Cinco De Mayo 2012

Cinco De Mayo, Enid Oklahoma Style! :-)
Some wives from 13-03 got together and drank delicious margaritas at Chili's and finished the night off at my house, for boys and beer! :-) WE had fun, and although it was not a "fiesta" we still had fun!

May/ June is a big month in the Drescher household:
1) Christian is almost t-6 complete, has a few formation rides left
2) I get to see the wonderful rocky mts. and my amazing family, who i have missed dearly
3) We get to go to Austin and Dallas for Memorial Day Weekend
4) Christian Track Selects to T-1's or T-38s.. ( which he is leaning towards t-1)
5) My bday - of course!
6) Surviving tornado season is a huge plus in my book!

Can't wait to see what life has dealt us, till then
